Voice, Speech, and Dialect Coach

About me

Hi there! I'm Ron Carlos, a voice, speech, and dialect coach based in Los Angeles and New York City.

I'm a graduate of the American Repertory Theater and Moscow Art Theater School Institute for Advanced Theater Training at Harvard University where I received my MFA in Voice and Speech Pedagogy in 2013.

After returning from Moscow to New York, I taught at Marymount Manhattan College and City College of New York. A year later, I became a Lecturer in Acting at the Yale School of Drama where I taught Speech and Dialects to the first-year MFA Actors and coached numerous productions. Over the summers I taught at the Shakespeare Academy @ Stratford, National Student Leadership Conference, Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey and various Fitzmaurice Voicework® workshops and certifications.

As a freelance voice, speech, and dialect coach in New York City I've worked on broadway, at The Public Theater, Abingdon, MCC, New York Theatre Workshop, and Gym at Judson. Regionally my work's been heard at Yale Repertory Theater, The Alley, Two River Theatre, Westport Country Playhouse, Hartford Stage, Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, Gloucester Stage, and The American Repertory Theater. My film work includes The Week Of, Love Is Blind, and I'm Thinking of Ending Things. My television work includes Orange Is The New Black, The Enemy Within, Madam Secretary, Unforgettable, Power, Fringe, and Family Pictures USA which is currently streaming on PBS.org (link button below).
